He's design based on geotropics. The notion related to 'nature', 'culture' and 'nationalism' to the space which like small geography around our body. As a result, people get extra-large 'personal space' and extra protection from external influences. At the same time, they are carrying their environment from one place to another.

Summary:
The author uses historical references about the philosophy of fashion to construct an argument about its validity, the meaning of fashion and how it affects the human experience. There is much mention about the concept of fashion and identity; how fashion, rather than being a shielding layer, is an extension of the human. Another key theme of this book is weather fashion as a concept is a primarily referencing clothing or other fields such as science, politics, arts, etc. The book also looks at the arguable victimization of humans by fashion. Are we all victims of this self-constructed object? Are we all aware of its language? Who constructs it? Who understands it? How is it used to achieve goals?
How this relates to my paper:
We are constructing anti-fashion items.

Case Studies 19 correct posture
1940's style with correct posture
Its interesting to remember that Pilates, now a hugely popular guide to posture was developed in the 1940's and named after Joseph Pilates.
Women of the 1940's simply had to master correct posture. There was no option.
Corset makers like Spencer did their bit to help, but there is no better alternative than simply learning how to stand, walk, and sit like a lady.
On our Youtube channel, Miss Ratherly Stern pops back in her time machine from the 1940's with her advice on good posture.
Her finishing school for girls is a good example of what was considered important for women then. As antiquated as it appears, it's always worth grabbing the useful advice that was dished out to young women in the 1940's, as they still apply when it comes to being glamourous.

Case Studies 18 Spinal Correction Clothing

Foot binding (simplified Chinese: 缠足; traditional Chinese: 纏足; pinyin: chánzú, literally "bound feet") was a custom practiced on young girls and women for approximately one thousand years in China, beginning in the 10th century and ending in the first half of 20th century.
Foot-binding resulted in lifelong disabilities for most of its subjects. As the practice waned in the early 20th century, "some girls' feet were released after initial binding, leaving less severe deformities," according to a study conducted by the University of California, San Francisco. However, some effects of foot-binding were permanent, especially if a girl's arches or toes had been broken or other drastic measures taken in order to achieve the desired smallness. In the 1990s and early 2000s, some elderly (born until mid-1940s) Chinese women still suffered from disabilities related to bound feet.[1]

We’ve always thought furniture and fashion went hand in hand and clearly, so does furniture designer, artist and mind reader Pablo Reinoso. His new collection features a series of transmogrified clothing/furniture pieces for both men and women. Incorporating antique design chairs and other pieces into dresses and suits must have been no easy task but we think he did a good job of giving equal billing to both. Can you wear it? Of course not! And you certainly could not sit on it. But that’s the point, you’re not meant too.

Case Studies 3 Brown wool knit
This knit dress, the creation of which coincided with Miyake's 1989 "Cicada Pleats" pieces, features triangular structures divergent from an otherwise natural torso line. These structures provided permanence in form within a fluid and otherwise organic entity. Often compared to the padded dresses or projectile shapes of Rei Kawakubo's collections, Miyake's triangular protrusions were interpreted by many fashion critics as the designer's confrontation of traditional Western body ideals.

Case Studies 2 Corset Piercing
A corset piercing is a series of surface piercings done to emulate the appearance of the lacing on the back of a corset. Two rows of bilaterally symmetrical piercings are performed and can be composed of as few as four piercings (two in each row) or as many as the length of the area being pierced (usually the back) and the vertical space between piercings will allow space for. Due to the difficulty and risks associated with permanently healing single surface piercings, most corset piercings are intended to be temporary in nature.
